The 1. FC Magdeburg left important points in the promotion battle at the away game against Hertha BSC. The draw was the right result after a courageous defensive performance by the Berliner.
In front of 62,057 spectators Hertha BSC and the 1. FC Magdeburg separated 1: 1 (1: 1). The goals scored for Magdeburg Lubambo Musonda (left -wing shot/44th minute) and for Hertha Linus Gechter (header/45.+2). Berlin can live better with the point than the guests. Anyone who did not take their place in the Olympic Stadium in time on this sunny Friday evening was punished. It only took 22 seconds for Hertha Fabian Reese to appear in the Magdeburg penalty area for the first time.
