A new season, a new look and a new leadership. This year’s amusement park Drouwenerzand is dominated by innovation. Janna Moespot-van der Linde and Kevin Moespot, daughter and son-in-law of former owner Bert van der Linde, are officially in control. And that can be seen.
“At the entrance we now have a large decorative front, made of spray concrete, which looks like a dolmen. You will soon run into the park under a hunebed,” Moespot says enthusiastically.
Not only the entrance has received an upgrade. The train ride is now a dino expedition, with large dinosaurs along the route. And where visitors used to run around in nostalgic cars on the old -timer track, a fairy -tale eleven kingdom has now been created. “We wanted to thematize the park more, so that the experience becomes even stronger,” Moespot explains.
After thirty years, Bert van der Linde officially transfers his daughter and son -in -law. “It’s a special step, but we’re looking forward to it,” says Moespot. “It takes some getting used to. I recently had to make a payment and I thought:” Just consult with Bert. “But you don’t have to do that anymore.”
