3rd league: Waldhof Mannheim brings U21 national player Angelo Gattermayer

In the 3rd league

Second division side Admira Wacker Mödling and Angelo Gattermayer are going their separate ways: The 21-year-old winger turned down an offer to extend his contract, which expired in June, and is instead moving to Germany to third division side Waldhof Mannheim.

Austria’s U21 team player made 25 second division appearances for Admira last season, in which he scored six goals. Before the Lower Austrians were relegated in 2022, he had already played 14 times in the Austrian Oberhaus.

“In Angelo we have been able to convince a highly interesting player who has played a very good season. He is very good at dribbling in a direct duel and also has good speed. Angelo is a player who, at the age of 21, has already gained a lot of experience in Austria and has the absolute will to assert himself here. We are delighted that he has decided to take the next step in his career here with SVW,” said sporting director Tim Schork.
