Second division relegated SSV Ulm has hired center forward Paul-Philipp Besong, who was most recently active for Borussia Dortmund II. The 24-year-old signed a contract with the Spatzen by 2027 and comes to the Zweirlandstadt with the experience of 57 third division games. Due to a knee injury, the German Camerooner played only ten games for the BVB reserve in the past season, in which he scored three goals.

Managing Director Markus Thiele said about the 13th newcomer: “Paul is a piece of the puzzle that we still lacked on the offensive. We are very pleased that we were able to convince him of our way, and we are sure that it will enrich our team with its quality, which is undoubtedly at a speed and end.”

Besong said: “I am very happy about the move to SSV Ulm 1846. The conversations were very positive from the start and quickly convinced me. I firmly believe that we can make a lot of things.”
