A truck driver drove his truck off the highway on the A17 near Moerdijk late last night. This happened near the Bazius parking lot. The driver was just able to avoid a tree. The truck ended up in a wide ditch. The driver was able to get out of his cab himself. He was checked by ambulance personnel, but did not need to be taken to hospital. Due to the accident, one lane was closed, as was the rest area. The truck was partially filled with newspapers.
