96 homegrown

Now it’s official: 1. FC Köln have presented Linton Maina as a new signing. The 22-year-old comes on a free transfer from Hannover 96, for whom the homegrown player was directly involved in eight goals in 30 games last season. The offensive player signed a contract with “Effzeh” until June 30, 2025.

“Linton is a very fast player who goes deep and is strong in one-on-ones. He brings important additional offensive elements into our game. Linton also has the prerequisites to be able to play in his position in the Bundesliga. Our task will be to develop him in such a way that he constantly taps his potential,” said managing director Christian Keller.
