Some of the Ajax fans went to Venserpolder in Amsterdam when they heard that German supporters were present there. According to the police, the Ajax fans were afraid of a confrontation with the supporters of Eintracht Frankfurt. When the police wanted to intervene, they were attacked themselves, according to a spokesperson. Then the police defended themselves with a baton and physical violence. No arrests were made.
