Zverev works as a physiotherapist at the Australian Open

Alexander Zverev is currently facing double challenges at the Australian Open. On the court, the Olympic tennis champion will fight against Britain’s Cameron Norrie on Monday (6:00 a.m. CET/Eurosport) for a place in the quarter-finals. Off the court he now also has to look after his physiotherapist Christoph Seidel.

What happened? Seidel twisted on the stairs in the John Cain Arena during the second round game against Slovakian Lukas Klein and tore a ligament.

“But it’s not that bad because I did a very, very good job with the treatment,” said Zverev after his third-round win against American Alex Michelsen.

Zverev posted a picture on Instagram showing how he bandaged Seidel’s foot. “I have to do that every day now. I’m basically his new physio,” said Zverev. “But I’m still waiting to be paid for my work.”
