Zulte Waregem could definitely do something at the end of matchday 23 and approach two points on almost all competitors. After the win against Club NXT, a six out of six would be welcome away from home.
Opportunities were rather scarce in the first half. Just before half-time, Ablo and Vossen had shooting opportunities, but they went over, wide or ended up on a home defender.
After the break, Vossen headed just wide, but the home team also threatened twice through Lavie. Yet Essevee took the lead in minute 53. Nnadi sent Ndour away, who checked with his chest and seemed to break the spell: 0-1.

Zulte Waregem is now shared fourth with Lommel and has 39 points. Patro Eisden has to take precedence in third place (40 points). Deinze and Beerschot share the lead with 43. Dender (38 points) also fits in closely with that list. Essevee controls its own destiny because it still plays against Deinze, Beerschot, Patro and Dender.
