Netflix is producing series and films at full speed. Actually, it’s running smoothly. But now, while filming a successful series, insurmountable differences with serious consequences arose.

The reason: they wanted to join the “IATSE” trade union in order to strengthen their employee rights. The production company “Magical Elves” did not want to accept this and, in consultation with Netflix, canceled the shooting of the 7th season of the successful series “Nailed it!”.
Emmy-nominated series ends abruptly
The production of the 7th season of the back show “Nailed It!” had already progressed to the 5th episode. The US show, in which participants try to replicate the artistic creations of professionals, has been running successfully on Netflix since 2018 and has even received Emmy nominations. There is even a German offshoot. In “Who can, who can” the plus-size model Angelina Kirsch leads through the show.
The US original has so far had six regular seasons and two special seasons for Christmas, all of which are also available in Germany with dubbing. Season seven was to be called Nailed It! Halloween” and the corresponding period in the fall. The only consolation for the fans of the show: the four episodes that have already been turned off should not be lost.
What’s next for “Nailed it!”?
Netflix still plans to air the first four episodes of season seven around Halloween. But that should have been it for the seventh season. It remains exciting to see how the show will continue in general. Several scenarios are conceivable here. First, the end of “Nailed it!”. Thanks to the show’s success, that would probably be the worst option for Netflix. It would also be conceivable that the production company “Magical Elves” would still come to an agreement with the employees and approve joining the union. We consider that rather unlikely.
Finally, and possibly most likely, Netflix would take production entirely into their own hands and produce Season 8 themselves.
