A new kitchen is of course nice, but a renovation is often a lot of work and extremely expensive. That could be easier, thought the born and bred Zoetermeerder Philip Wessels. With his company I Flip It wrapt he kitchens with high-quality vinyl. “It’s very stylish and also a lot cheaper than the other options.”
Philip has always dreamed of owning his own company before he is thirty. ”And now it has worked. The funny thing is that it came about by accident. I did it wrapping already at an advertising company where I worked. A friend of mine asked if I could do the same in his kitchen. I did and after I put the photos on Instagram I immediately received twelve requests! Then I knew: this is going to be him.”

Wrapping is the new painting
According to Philip, lugging cans of paint over a floor of old newspapers is a thing of the past. †wrapping is a durable and better solution than painting. I renovate the kitchen by applying foil to the surface. This is usually realized within one or two days, gives a super tight and even result and remains beautiful for years. People are often tired of their kitchen because of the color. Then this is the solution. It’s like having a new kitchen, but for a lot less money.”
All colors of the rainbow
If you choose to give your kitchen a makeover via I Flip It, you can choose from a whole palette of colors and structures. ”There are many options, so there is always a color that suits someone’s kitchen. At the moment matte black is very popular. I am also investigating with a print company whether we custom made being able to print vinyls, but that’s in the future.”

Flexible application
One of the great advantages of using vinyl is its flexibility. “This is also possible if you live in a rented house, because you are not renovating anything. It can be removed when necessary and leaves no traces. That is also useful if you like a new kitchen once in a while look to give. With paint it is all a lot more difficult.”
