Everyone can sometimes use a helping hand, whether this is in the field of finances, health, living or, for example, participating in society. Fortunately, Zoetermeer has a very accessible organization for all your questions for help: stake. Recently, there is also a special Geldpunt. “That was badly needed”, says Bertine Spijkers, Director-Manager of inZet.
Unfortunately, Bertine and her colleagues have noticed that the financial problems in particular have increased recently. “I am talking, for example, about the element of energy poverty. Even dual-income families now suffer from this and often find it difficult to make ends meet. That is why we have it together with the municipality Money point set up, where colleagues work who know their way around, for example, all the schemes and options that you can use.”
More and more people find it difficult to make ends meet, that is nothing to be ashamed of
If your financial situation is also a bit difficult at the moment, don’t hesitate to ask for help, Bertine recommends. “Do not wait too long so that things do not pile up. Setbacks can happen to anyone, so don’t be ashamed and ring the bell. To our website you will find information about the walk-in consultation hours for free advice and our contact information.”
Don’t know inZet yet?
It is the central entrance for Zoetermeer residents with a request for help. A partnership of nine organizations and six partners, each with its own specialism. This way you can easily contact various care providers with your care or request for help who can help you based on their expertise. This may include the following topics:
- Money and administration
- Living and environment
- Health and balance
- Family and relationships
- Participate in society
Well organised
InZet arose from the desire of the municipality to organize care in Zoetermeer more accessible and accessible in the neighborhoods. There were many parties active in Zoetermeer and the road to the right help was quite complex. Now you are no longer sent from pillar to post. “I really believe in the way in which inZet looks at healthcare. We focus on prevention, restoring self-direction and on the positive: what can someone still do and what makes them happy?”, says Bertine.
He beamed again
Bertine is reminded of a fine example of someone who flourished completely thanks to the help of inZet. “A man came to us who had only found out later in life that he is autistic. He never really connected with people and was quite lonely. Through inZet he received group counseling, through which he met fellow sufferers. He was glowing again, became more self-confident and had made friendships. Now he even educates parents of autistic children, how wonderful is that?!”
For big and small questions
You can also contact inZet with small questions for help, Bertine emphasizes. “You really don’t have to be in deep trouble and it is smart if you prevent worse problems. For example, if you want to learn Dutch better or need some help with computers or administration, you are also welcome. For example, we also help people to find meaning. Are you retired or are you unable to find a regular job, but do you love gardening? There is bound to be a nice place for you where you can pursue your passion.”
Feel free to come by
Here you read what commitment could mean for you or a loved one. “If you could also use some help, you are more than welcome at inZet”, says Bertine. “In addition to a central telephone number, we have no less than six locations in Zoetermeer, where you can go without an appointment. The atmosphere is pleasant. Come and drink a cup of coffee and experience for yourself that it is a really cozy place.”
Also commit yourself to fellow citizens
Have you become enthusiastic about Bertine’s story and are you looking for a nice job in the heart of the neighbourhood? On Bet’s website find the vacancies that are currently open. You can also find more information about the possibilities for volunteers here. This way you can mean something to someone else, be active and develop your own talents. “We can really use all the help,” concludes Bertine.
