A good two years after leaving Real Madrid, France’s football icon Zinedine Zidane wants to return to the sidelines.
He would like to “start again” and would like “a project,” said the 50-year-old at the presentation of the new Formula 1 car from the French team Alpine.
Zidane, who is now an ambassador for the equal opportunities programs at Alpine, left the royal team after the 2020/21 season and has been without a job ever since.
Most recently, “Zizou” was traded as a possible successor to Christophe Galtier at Paris St. Germain because of the poor results.
The former Real pro, who became world and European champions with the French national team, led Spanish giants Madrid to three consecutive Champions League victories (2016, 2017, 2018).
