Telstar did not win in match four either. This time FC Eindhoven turned out to be 1-0 too strong in Velsen-Zuid. Trainer Mike Snoei of the White Lions did not hide his disappointment. “This is very hard for the boys, but we know it has to be better.”
“They fought and fought today. But when do you pull the trigger? You can blame them,” said Snoei after the game. “You have to finish the opportunities in the first half. But they don’t do that on purpose.”
“If I had the ball, I was doing something good”
“This must be turned around quickly. It will have to be better. The boys think so too. But I think it’s sour, because today they would have earned more.”

Mohammed Tahiri made his basic debut at Telstar. After three innings, the technically gifted midfielder was now allowed to start in the base of Mike Snoei. “I didn’t get the ball often. If I had the ball, then I did something good. It’s up to me to get the ball even more.”
Telstar’s next match is on Saturday, September 9. VVV Venlo will then visit Velsen-Zuid. The kick-off is at 4.30 pm.
