Zelensky: “Russian defense industry is slowing down” | War Ukraine and Russia

According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, there are indications that Russia’s defense industry is slowing down. He said this in his daily video message. “The enemy’s plans, the work of the Russian defense industry; there are signals that they are slowing down. And we will help with that,” the president said.

In his video message, Zelensky emphasized that Ukrainians must pay as much attention as possible in the near future to the defense of the provinces where heavy fighting is currently taking place. “It’s time to focus and work so we can relax afterwards,” the president said.

Zelensky also called for “maximum attention to defense, maximum efforts in the interests of the state and maximum energy so that Ukraine can achieve its goals.”

Defense industry

The Ukrainian head of state further claimed that Russia’s defense industry is gradually shrinking. “Today I received a report from the military intelligence services. The enemy’s plans, the work of the Russian defense industry; there are indications that they are slowing down. And we will help with that,” Zelensky said firmly.

The question remains whether the Russian war industry is really “slowing down”. For example, Russian President Vladimir Putin boasted yesterday that “the share of modernized weapons for the nuclear forces has been raised to 95 percent.” According to Putin, Moscow has the upper hand on the battlefield. “We do what we want,” he said.
