President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky in a telephone conversation with the head of the American administration Joe Biden on February 13, he suggested that he visit Ukraine as soon as possible. But he did not wait for an affirmative answer from Biden, CNN notes.
A source of the TV company in the White House said on this occasion that the visit of the US President to Ukraine is extremely unlikely.
During the call, Zelensky also asked Biden to provide additional financial and military support for Ukraine. TASS.
According to the US administration, the presidents in a conversation noted the importance of finding a diplomatic solution to the situation around Ukraine, as well as containing Russia. Biden once again stressed Washington’s commitment to Kiev’s sovereignty. He assured that the US and allies would respond quickly and decisively to any further Russian aggression against Ukraine.
A conversation between Zelensky and Biden lasted a little less than an hour. This is the third telephone conversation between the heads of state since the beginning of this year.
