Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky is calling on the whole world to take to the streets on Thursday because of the war with Russia, which started exactly a month ago. In a video Zelenski posted online Wednesday evening, he asked in English to “support Ukraine and advocate for our freedom”.
The president called for a worldwide protest, calling on people “to come to their squares and streets. Make yourself visible and be heard.” He said that “the world must stop this war.” According to Zelensky, Russia is not only fighting against Ukraine, but “against the freedom of everyone in Europe, of everyone in the world”.
That the war has already lasted a month “breaks his heart”, according to Zelenski.
