“Zeit” cracks number 1 in the US hard rock charts

Rammstein climbed to number one on the Billboard hard rock album charts with their current album Zeit. The album grossed 21,000 equivalent album units (17,000 album sales) for the week of April 29 through May 5.

Already third number 1

It is not Rammstein’s first number 1 album in the United States: the band from Berlin has achieved this success for the third time in their career since they were founded in 1994.

For the first time in 2009, Rammstein achieved number 1 success in the Billboard US album charts in the hard rock genre. It was the week-long hit, Love Is For Everyone. This was followed in 2019 by their album “Rammstein” – another week at number 1. Remarkable numbers overseas, considering that the Billboard hard rock album charts have only existed since 2007.

At the same time, ZEIT starts at number 2 of the top rock albums and thus achieves the best ranking ever achieved by Rammstein. “Zeit” peaked at number 15 on the Billboard 200, making it the band’s third top 20 entry. She first appeared with “Sehnsucht,” which peaked at #45 in 1998.

In addition, “Zeit” also took first place in Germany – in the cross-genre album charts. They are thus continuing their success story: since their debut “Herzeleid”, seven of eight studio albums (since “Sehnsucht” in unbroken order) have gone to one.
