Guests of the Winter 2023 Fashion Show are invited to experience a crucial phase in the production of Oasi Cashmere fabrics. The fibers float and fall out in an air chamber – a key process in their eventual transformation into fine fabrics. The magic of this often invisible process is an integral part of the fabrics used in the Oasi of Cashmere Collection.
Artistic director Alessandro Sartori expands the idea of ZEGNA style by combining function with shapes, silhouettes and textures. Materiality is key to his vision: “At ZEGNA I have a unique opportunity to create fabrics from weaving to finishing, challenging our makers and pushing them to explore uncharted waters. This allows me to design and ensure our silhouettes from the start that our commitment to innovation and excellence is ingrained in every step of the process. Some of the outfits are from the forthcoming partnership with Los Angeles-based luxury lifestyle company The Elder Statesman, details of which will be announced in late February during Paris Fashion Week as part of the second chapter of THE OASI OF CASHMERE platform. The dialogue behind the collection stems from the idea of offering ZEGNA’s know-how in fabric manufacture to a partner who shares our values and our dedication to craftsmanship. The collection expands horizons to explore new stylistic avenues alongside The Elder Statesman’s ethos of vertical craftsmanship – an idea that is integral to the Oasi Zegna mentality.
