Zara launches pre owned repair service

Low cost and sustainability: is it possible to reconcile the two areas? Zara attempts to resolve the dilemma by offering a service which allows you to bringing the brand’s used garments and accessories back to life. The initiative is called Zara Pre-Owned, and has just arrived in Italy. But how does it work?

Zara Pre-Owned, landing in Italy

Already operational in the United Kingdom for a year now and in France since last September, Zara Pre-Owned arrives from December 12th in 14 countries Europeans: Germany, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, Greece, Ireland, Spain, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, up to ours. Available on the website, on the app and in physical stores, it is a project that is divided into various areas that can be traced back to circularity: first and foremost, the repairbut also the sale between customers of their Zara garments and the collection of used clothes and accessories in selected stores.

How it works and the three main services

Simple: just connect to Italian site and scroll through the categories. The button now also appears next to Women, Men, Children and Beauty Pre-Owned: the section About clarifies the initiative; in the area Repairyou can request the mending of any damaged or used Zara piece, present or past – ranging from the replacement of buttons to the stitching. All with a simple click, or in store: the processing is carried out by local suppliers and selected laboratoriesto optimize waiting times and environmental impact.
