The very first race fans slowly trickle into Zandvoort. Most of them left early this morning so as not to miss a glimpse of today’s practices and other spectacle.
This family left at five o’clock this morning from their hometown of Drachten for the Dutch Grand Prix. You will not enter Zandvoort by car this weekend, so this family had to park the car in Spaarnwoude, and took the train for the last part. “That was doable,” they tell the NH Nieuws reporter. “We are really looking forward to it! The children are playing truant for a day, with permission, to attend the free practice sessions.”
Stefan from Alkmaar was also on the train from Alkmaar to Zandvoort around half past five this morning. Together with his father and two friends, he does not want to miss a minute of the Dutch Grand Prix.
Ben and Wim were early this morning in Red Bull uniform at Amsterdam Sloterdijk station. I don’t think we have to guess who they will be cheering for this weekend.
