Zalando is removing the rating function for customers

The Berlin online retailer Zalando no longer shows customer reviews on its platform.

The previous product reviews have disappeared in the online shop and new comments are no longer possible in this form, various media report. Instead, it should now only be possible to fill out a survey about whether the product description influenced the purchase decision.

The reason for the abolition is the active participation of customers. Zalando told the Spanish platform Ecommerce News that only three percent of customers left a review and that there was no written review for the majority of products, which is why the online retailer decided to remove the function. However, in the event of a return, customers can still express their opinion about the reasons for the return.
