The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacted to the statements of British Foreign Minister Liz Truss about a possible “seizure” of the Baltic states by Russia by saying that the minister had “figured out” Moscow’s plans to seize Kaliningrad. Zakharova posted such a message in her Telegram channel.
“And Liz Truss is not as simple as it seems. The Englishwoman saw through our insidious plans to capture the Kaliningrad region, ”wrote the diplomat.
The British Foreign Secretary says Daily Mailwarned that the danger of a Russian invasion after Ukraine hung not only over the Baltic states, but also over the Western Balkans.
“[Президент России Владимир] Putin has said publicly that he wants to create a great Russia, that he wants to return to the situation as it was before, when Russia controlled vast territories of Eastern Europe, ”Truss said and noted that Britain and allies should confront Putin in this situation, so as he threatens Ukraine now, but there will be other countries.
