Zakharova explained why the United States needed Micronesia again

Commenting on the break in diplomatic relations between Micronesia and Russia, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova noted that America is once again interested in Micronesia to protect neo-Nazism in Ukraine and support for the Nazi regime in Kyiv.

As the head of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry writes in his Telegram channel, the West responded to the call of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky “for effective assistance: the Federated States of Micronesia sent a note on the severance of diplomatic relations with Russia.”

“The United States and Ukraine are the only ones who in recent years have consistently voted against the adoption of a UN General Assembly resolution on combating the glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism and other practices that encourage the escalation of modern forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance. It is Washington and Kyiv formed the backbone of the opposition to anti-fascist initiatives at the UN site,” Zakharova explained.

Micronesia is one of the countries that, along with the US, Japan and the Marshall Islands, voted “no” to the resolution when it was first introduced in 2005 and 2006.

As previously reported, On February 25, demonstrating solidarity with Ukraine, the authorities of the Federated States of Micronesia announced the severance of diplomatic relations with the Russian Federation. The Russian Embassy in the Philippines received a corresponding note.
