The Verona coach: “Duda and Ngonge brought us the quality we needed”
Marco Zaffaroni comments in the press conference on the draw between Verona and Lazio.
“We knew what Lazio’s characteristics were – says the Gialloblù coach – we faced every moment of the match well. The goal conceded immediately in the last second of the first half could have demoralized us, but we returned to the field with great character, finding an equalizer and creating the conditions to make it 2-1. Then the match remained balanced until the end. We had a great match, we are very satisfied.
What matters now is the spirit, the desire to try until the end. The reaction in the face of difficulties that every Serie A match gives you. We must always maintain these qualities, because the path will be tough. We want to try to the end. We need to improve in finishing, but what matters is the overall performance, which was excellent.
Ngonge and Duda have technical quality and we need them. At the start of the second half we had a vehement quarter of an hour. We have to be satisfied with this match, now we have to continue like this. Ngonge has great qualities, but he also has room for improvement, especially from a physical point of view.”
