Zaankanters have great fun and car trouble with their ‘old barrel’ in Norway

Lots of snow and loud laughter: team Elvis has only been on the road for three days and has already had a lot of adventures. The Zaankanters Paul Kok, Erwin Vinke, Michael Leegwater and Ruud Huijgen drive the Carbage Run in Scandinavia with their 1990 Volvo. The idea: follow the less touristy routes through Europe with an old barrel, in this case in Scandinavia.

The Zaankanters film their journey for NH News. In the video above, the men dance in the snow, have car trouble and make a lot of miles.

The ride does not go without a hitch. There is a lot of snow and the old car, which was only allowed to cost a maximum of five hundred euros, cannot cope. Fortunately, other participants come to the aid of the men.

Earn points

The men have to do crazy assignments during the road trip. For example, they went looking for wood with a certain moisture percentage. “We found the wood, but not with the right moisture content. So we didn’t get any points. That’s a pity.”

Earlier, the Zaankanters already told NH News why they are participating:

Team Elvis and their Volvo have to hold on for a few more days. The friends keep NH Nieuws informed during the journey, so it will soon become clear whether they will reach the finish line of their road trip.
