‘Yvonne Coldeweijer is absolutely right!’

Martien Meiland tries to disguise it somewhat, but of course he is pissed about the scandal book that his former girlfriend Caroline van Eeden will soon come up with. “Yvonne is right!”

Caroline van Eeden, the ‘exiled’ former house friend of the Meilandjes, comes up with a scandalous book and she has already caused the first riot. The author of her pants, Valérie Lempereur, had the first passage from the book read by Wilfred Genee. It followed? The parking spaces*ksrel.

Not angry with Wilfred

What does Martien think of Wilfred doing this on national television? He says in weekly magazine Weekend: “I think things like that are dropped quite often at VI. There is no program like VI, which can just pop something like that on TV. That’s really their thing.”

He is not angry with the presenter. “I must honestly admit that I think that is also their success. We are the same way, an open book. I don’t mind that Wilfred did that. I’m not afraid of that book at all.”

Friend betrayal

Does Martien feel betrayed by Caroline? “I can answer that now, but what’s the point? That woman must know for herself. Be happy with the money and figure it out. I can’t do anything about it and I’m not going to worry about it. Maybe if I was 30, but I’m 62, so again, figure it out.”

Yvonne Coldeweijer has been critical of Caroline’s claim that she will donate all proceeds to charity. “Would the Kika Foundation have already received something?”

‘Yvonne is right!’

Martien is just as skeptical as Yvonne. He has also taken note of her distrust. “’Yes, I read it. What I thought? Well, Yvon is absolutely right!”

It is still questionable whether Caroline will see a cent back if this goes through Valérie, says Martien. “Yes girl, because Valérie is known as unreliable. She has written books by famous Flemish people and they would never have had their money. Well, I’d say, ‘Good luck with that woman’.”
