Yvonne Coldeweijer has little faith in Nikkie de Jager’s first major RTL 4 show: The Only Real. “What kind of bad format is this?” said the juice queen. “Creative poverty!”
After the great success of The Masked Singer and I Can See Your Voice, RTL 4 comes with a program in the same genre: The Only Real. The program will be tested this Saturday evening through a one-off special and if many people watch, a whole series of episodes will follow in the new TV season.

What is The One and Only about? “In this show, the viewer is treated to special acts by five people who all wear the same mask in the appearance of one celebrity. Only one of the group is ‘The Only Real’ BN’er”, explains a spokeswoman for RTL. And so the viewer and the panel have to guess who the real celebrity is.
Yvonne Coldeweijer initially doesn’t understand the concept at all when she sees the trailer. Initially she thinks that the celebrities act without a mask and the other four people with a mask of the celebrities. “Huh. Does the real celebrity not have a mask on and the other 4 do? You can see that within 2 seconds, right?”

Yes, if Maik de Boer runs around without a mask and the other four candidates with Maik’s mask, then you quickly realize who the real celebrity is. “Or does the celebrity also wear a mask of himself? Then what’s the point? What a bad format this is!” yells Yvonne.
