‘Yvonne behaves like a mafia’

Heleen van Royen finds it worrying that her book about juice has not sparked a national debate. “A Yvonne Coldeweijer just uses mafia methods. Disturbing.”

Wow, she’s really starting to go crazy now: Heleen van Royen is really upset because her book Juice isn’t having as much impact as she had hoped. She wanted to initiate a social debate about the juice channels with this indictment against Yvonne Coldeweijer, but yes: who cares? Except for all those stars with long toes…

Mafia practices

New Revujournalist Leon Verdonschot wonders what exactly Heleen hoped to achieve. “Did you expect a Broad Social Debate on this subject after the publication of your novel?”

Heleen: “Yes, I had hoped for that, yes. That that would happen more often. I think that’s a shame.”

When Leon asks what her explanation is, Heleen starts accusing the juice queen of mafia practices. Really serious.

Disturbing

How exactly does that work according to Heleen? “Celebrities told me, off the record, after the book came out, they said something about Coldeweijer, and that their husband was tackled immediately afterwards. That is also new, those kinds of mafia methods, the tabloid journalists did not do that either.”

We must fight the mafia in our country, Heleen believes. “I find that very disturbing, and not at all appropriate in the Netherlands. So many celebrities do not dare to speak out about the book out of fear.”

Disruption

According to Heleen, Yvonne and the fear of her can lead to social disruption. “These methods of blackmailing with information are increasingly being copied, up to and including secondary and even primary schools where children blackmail each other by throwing videos online. And that seems to have become normal.”

She calls on Yvonne to immediately stop her juicing activities. “I don’t know Yvonne Coldeweijer personally, but from what I see of her she is not stupid, she looks nice, and she can really do something. Enough talent, but she uses it for this. I then think: dude, you don’t have to do this at all, do you?”
