Yves Vanderhaeghe remains in charge as head coach KVO

Yves Vanderhaeghe became the new head coach of KV Oostende in February, with immediate effect, as the successor to Alexander Blessin. Vanderhaeghe was already a trainer there between 2015 and 2017 and then led the club to the cup final and the first ever European campaign against Marseille.

Earlier in the season, Vanderhaeghe was fired from Cercle Brugge, because of the poor results. He then signed a contract with KV Oostende until the end of this season. But now immediately adds two seasons.

“Yves has a close relationship with the club and the contract until the end of the season was to get to know each other better. We worked well together during that time and it was soon the intention of both parties to continue working together says Ganaye. “In addition, Yves brings attacking football with the necessary pressure and he can make young players better.
