Yves Tumor in his new music video “Heaven Surrounds Us Like a Hood”

With “Heaven Surrounds Us Like a Hood”, Yves Tumor has released the third song from his fifth studio album PRAISE A LORD WHO CHEWS BUT WHICH DOES NOT CONSUME; (OR SIMPLY, HOT BETWEEN WORLDS). The album will be released on March 17th. The single release follows “God Is a Circle” and “Echolalia” and shows the singer and his live band in the music video, with whom he will be touring from April. The neon colours, backdrops and leather outfits hint at the aesthetic approaches and influences of the experimental artist somewhere between glam rock and punk, while the music also strikes psychedelic tones.
It was directed by Cody Critcheloe, who also directed the music video for “Kerosene” for Tumor in 2020. The new piece was produced by Noah Goldstein, who is known for his collaborations with Rihanna, Frank Ocean and Bon Iver. After the album release we will go on tour. “The Tour, To Spite Or Not To Spite” starts in April at the Coachella Festival in the USA and comes to Berlin on November 17th.
