Youtube is expanding its shopping capabilities to boost its revenue as the company faces a decline in digital advertising.
The company, owned by Alphabet, will allow users to buy products similar to TikTok directly from Shorts, YouTube’s short video platform.
The feature is currently being tested with Creators in the US, who will be able to tag products from their own stores.
Alongside the new shorts shopping feature, Youtube is also experimenting with a feature that would allow influencers to earn commissions on products they sell via links in their videos.
