The new option will allow users to immediately identify quality videos on health issues, YouTube said. They can also find and interact with content from health professionals on the platform.
The videos of verified health professionals will be recognizable via labels at the bottom of the video, with additional context. In addition, users who look up a medical term are presented with a series of videos labeled “from health sources” at the top of their search results.
The certification process, which includes a verification of the user’s diplomas, is also accessible to people working in the mental health sector and to institutions.
