Only invited guests are allowed in the match between the youth teams under 15 of FC Den Bosch and ADO Den Haag. The reason are ‘disturbing signals from The Hague’, the Bossche club writes on its website.
On Saturday, the FC Den Bosch under-15 team will play the cup final against the boys from ADO Den Haag. No supporters are welcome at this match due to disturbing signals from The Hague, the club writes on her website† The decision was made in close consultation with ADO Den Haag and the KNVB.
According to a spokesperson for ADO, that statement is incorrect. writes Omroep West† “The first signals were that the hard core of Den Bosch wanted to go to this match. The Den Bosch police have also let us know. I understood from our safety coordinator that our supporters were not planning to go. In another way, we have now been blamed, but this is not correct.”
No reaction
FC Den Bosch does not want to comment further on the statement they have placed on the website. They say to Omroep West: “It is bad enough that it is a theme at all.”
“It is always hatred and envy between us,” says the club from The Hague. “That does not alter the fact that it is incredibly sad that something like this happens at a youth match. That is something we as a club do not want, of course. We would have preferred to give everyone free access, but we have to take the advice seriously.”
The game will not be completely behind closed doors on Saturday. Some friends and family members of the players are allowed to enter.
