A youth group went through Niederschöneweide on Thursday night beating and robbing.

Around 1:30 a.m., two 17-year-olds were walking on the sidewalk on Schnellerstrasse when about ten young people got in their way and demanded that valuables be handed over.

The young people ignored this and initially continued on their way. Suddenly both received blows to the head, one falling to the ground. The perpetrators stole a backpack and wallet from him.

When his companion managed to call 911, the group fled. Searches of the area, including with a police helicopter, were unsuccessful.

The alarmed rescue service cared for the 17-year-old and took one to the hospital.

second case

When the police were still securing the evidence on site, a 23-year-old came and stated that he and his two companions had also been attacked by the same group on Brückenstrasse.

She was first asked about drugs by the group. Then someone kicked the 23-year-old’s hand from behind. The trio fled to a bar and the group ran towards Schnellerstrasse.
