Youth care institution Het SamenHuis Zuidlaren bankrupt: ‘We hope for a solution as soon as possible’

Youth care institution CBP Het SamenHuis in Zuidlaren is bankrupt. “We hope to find an interested party as soon as possible. This concerns people, but the continuity of care is at least guaranteed in the short term and that is our priority,” says curator Frank Omta of Yspeert Advocaten.

The healthcare provider was declared bankrupt last Tuesday. Omta: “It was a self-report by Het SamenHuis. They currently attribute the bankruptcy to high personnel costs, but we are now investigating the cause ourselves.”

At the time of the report, approximately 45 people worked at Het SamenHuis, according to Omta.

According to Omta, the news initially caused a commotion among clients. “It hit them hard. Some were afraid that they would have to find another place immediately, which is why we have done everything we can to maintain care at this location. We have succeeded for now and we are looking for a party from the industry that can continue care at this location. Several interested parties have already registered. This also continued during the past weekend.”

Omta hopes to have clarity about a restart of Het SamenHuis by the end of this week.
