Voting from the car, that’s how several people in Broek op Langedijk cast their votes today. The idea of the mobile voting location is a legacy of the corona era. “Because the car functions as a voting booth, people who are less mobile or who have to go to work quickly can also vote,” says chairman of the polling station Norbert de Langen. For some, the ‘drive-through’ voting is a bit of a switch, but the mobile way will soon get used to, says a voter from the car.
The polling station at the Middenmoot is still open until 9 p.m. tonight.
