Youp van ‘t Hek thinks that after the horror figures of Boerzoekt Vrouw it is clear: Yvon Jaspers is now more or less done. “That image needs to be improved!”
After nineteen years, the enormous success of Boerzoekt Vrouw seems to be over. The new season of the farmer dating show with Yvon Jaspers got off to a historically bad start last week. And that is quite a shock, because the presenter is really only relevant because that program always scored so well.
‘Yvon is ready’
Now that that is a thing of the past, all alarm bells will go off in the Jaspers house. “Yvonne Jaspers’ image needs to be repaired urgently,” says comedian Youp van ‘t Hek in his column NRC.
It seems that her trick simply no longer works in 2023, according to the comedian. “Her quasi-romantic dating thing with lonely farmers is a bit done. Perhaps from now on she should paint a more realistic picture of the farmers. Just tell it how it really is.”
Torture chickens
It’s just deceptive television, says Youp. According to him, it is time for the truth to be told. “Something about thousands of torture chickens in a dark shed or that more mega stables have been added and what the damage is to our environment.”
Although Youp wonders whether that is the solution for Yvon. “Or is there no one watching anymore? Simply because the truth is not pleasant.”
‘Cackling*t’
Four years ago, Youp was quite upset with Yvon after her somewhat bizarre performance in Jeroen Pauw’s talk show. There she was, acting very hysterical about the fierce criticism of her greedy munching. “It was the most embarrassing piece of television I ever saw,” the comedian said at the time.
The most painful thing? Yvon delivered her angry celebrity tirade to the father and uncle of the murdered Anne Faber. “You saw the brothers looking at the cooing ratings cannon with her ready-made narcissistic talk. The terrible amateur theater of a cackling bitch.”
