Young PSV took the lead after fifteen minutes. On a pass from Mohamed Nassoh, Simon Colyn scored. Shortly before half time FC Emmen equalized through an own goal by Fedde Leysen.
From the kick-off for the second half, Ole Romeny made the second goal for the Emmen. A cross from the Portuguese Rui Mendes was nicely rounded off by Romeny. Mendes himself determined the final score at 1-3 in the 77th minute.
