A large group of youngsters was fined by the police in Boxtel last weekend. 24 young people have been fined because of gathering. Three young people were also arrested for threatening someone.
In Boxtel there has been a lot of youth nuisance lately. That is why there has been a prohibition of gathering for three weeks. The police and the municipality are currently looking for more ways to reduce nuisance. For example, Fatbikes are actively checked and security guards were deployed on the market last weekend to address young people about their behavior.
The police emphasize that she is working hard to tackle the nuisance. “We understand that this is not always visible for the ‘normal’ citizen. But in the coming period our actions will continue. This is a fight for the long breath.”
