Young farmers in discussion with deputation about nitrogen agreement

By making their concerns known to the deputation, they hope that the political groups will write a negative advice to the Flemish Government. The public inquiry will run until June 17. The farmers especially denounce that they have to innovate at the barn level.

Nicolas Dehaemers, Groene Kring West-Vlaanderen: “If only you could take that from stable level to farm level. Then you have that 60 percent reduction in total again. But as an individual entrepreneur, do you have the choice of how to reduce that 60 percent? We find that very important: that entrepreneurial freedom, that freedom of choice as an entrepreneur.”
