Young driver hits parked cars

Along the Brugsestraat in Menen, a young driver drove his Audi into a row of parked cars this morning. Just past the Herman en Vandamme bus company, towards the center, the car crashed into a parked BMW. The Hyundai Tucson parked behind it was heavily damaged. At least three cars are beyond repair.

HUGE DAMAGE

The damage done is enormous. Not only a few cars were damaged, but also a concrete lamppost, letterbox, drainpipe and even a facade were not spared.

The young driver came to a stop in the middle of the road and indicated that he did not know exactly what had happened. It is believed the 23-year-old man fell asleep at the wheel. The man was taken to hospital, but suffered minor injuries from the accident.
