Young AZ takes a hard hit against NAC Breda, first three-pointer against Brabant

It had not been successful in the six previous meetings, but Jong AZ defeated NAC Breda on Friday evening. Yusuf Barasi, Souleyman Allouch, Iman Griffith and Mexx Meerdink were accurate: 4-0.

Young AZ shot off the starting blocks against NAC Breda. Peer Koopmeiners was allowed to start in the base and saw that Yusuf Barasi headed over. It was Souleyman Allouch, who was unable to complete a cross from Iman Griffith a few minutes later. In the counter-punch, the Bredenaren got a huge chance through Jort van der Sande. He forced Sem Westerveld to a rescue.

Goalkeeper Roy Kortsmit had to gracefully save a shot from Fedde de Jong. That turned out to be a harbinger, because a minute later it was Barasi who completed a brilliant attack: 1-0. The striker became dangerous again not much later from a through pass from basic debutant Sem Dekkers. In the last part of the first half, Van der Sande headed over.
