Young AZ beats Young Ajax in promise clash

Jong AZ won the promising clash against Jong Ajax 5-2 in a goal-rich duel. At halftime it was 2-2, but in the second half the Alkmaar promises struck.

The visitors from Amsterdam took the lead in the sixth minute thanks to a goal by Gabriël Misehouy. Less than ten minutes later, Jong AZ took a 2-1 lead thanks to goals from Denso Kasius and Ernest Poku. Both teams had chances and it was Julian Brandes who brought Jong Ajax back to the same level.

AZ puts its affairs in order

After the break, Jong AZ came out of the dressing room excellently. Substitute Damienus Reverson gave Jong AZ a 3-2 lead. With just over fifteen minutes to go, it was AZ striker Ricuenio Kewal who seemed to decide the game. He tapped in on a pass from Jayden Addai. In the second half, Jong Ajax completely lost it and Jong AZ created chance after chance. With a nice goal it was Kees Smit who set the final score at 5-2.

The win puts Jong AZ in sixth place in the first division. We find Young Ajax in ninth place.
