A very painful evening for Jong Ajax visiting FC Eindhoven. In the end it was 5-1 for the home team. Kristian Hlynsson made the only Amsterdam goal.
It was Mamouna Amevor, who headed in the opening goal from a corner. Goalkeeper Charlie Setford had no chance: 1-0. The young players of Ajax were not deterred and fought back through a chance from Kristian Hlynsson. The Icelander finally scored a brilliant equalizer after half an hour. Young Ajax did not hold that position for a long time, as Eindhoven took the lead again. Evan Rottier made it 2-1.

Things went from bad to worse after the break. Sven van Doorm (former Telstar) made it 3-1. In the final phase, Jasper Dalhaus and Moussa Sanoh made it 5-1. In between, the Amsterdam U21s got the chance to come back. After a foul on Tristan Gooijer, they were allowed to take a penalty, but it was missed by Hlynsson.
The score did not change anymore, making it 5-1. Jong Ajax is seventeenth in the first division. NAC Breda is the next opponent next Monday.
