Young 18-year-old woman dies in blind spot accident

The accident happened after a collision between a truck and a moped. There were two people on the moped: the passenger, an 18-year-old woman from Ostend, died as a result of the collision. The driver, an 18-year-old man from Ostend, was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the truck passed a negative breath test. The public prosecutor appointed a traffic expert to determine the exact circumstances and cause of the accident.
