The event, moderated by Danda Santini, director of iO Donna, had a practical slantwith concrete suggestions for girls preparing to enter the world of work.

“Awareness helps build an effective bridge,” continued Calcagno. «Digital is as indispensable today as English was in the 1980s. A job of tomorrow? The Garbage Designerthat is, those who design an object also thinking about its second life after recycling».
Advice for job seekers
For Monica Magri, Vice President HR Italy The Adecco Group, «academic training remains fundamental, but then it is also useful to change perspective. Pursue your passion, keeping your feet on the ground. Ask yourself: what do I need to specialize in to achieve the goal? A piece of advice for job interviews: knowing how to tell yourself is essential».
Doriana De Benedictis, Diversity, Equity&Inclusion Leader for EY Europe West, emphasized the fact that in Italy half of women do not work and that it is important to find a place that allows you to invest in yourself. In any case, «work is not a destiny, things change. To the girls I say: stop never feeling enough».
Robert Coco, an expert in digital transformation and female empowerment, has had an international and multifaceted career. Her secret? «Be curious, never afraid of news». For her too, women often limit themselves, instead “they should jump in, not fear failures, team up, say yes to contamination”.
