It is completely exceptional that Finland’s Eurovision win was already prepared in advance.
If Käärijä had won Eurovision, Yle would have organized a big national celebration together with the city of Vantaa.
It would have been implemented today, Monday, in connection with Vantaa Day.
– Vantaa had two plans all along. One was Vantaa’s own Vantaa Day concert, the other was a combination of the Vantaa Day concert and Käärijä’s victory celebration, in which Yle would have participated.
– If the victory party had been organized, the venue would also have changed from the Vantaa Day concert to a bigger one. Tens of thousands of people would certainly have come to the place, the responsible producer Tiina Klemettila It tells from above.

Käärijä was second in the fives and the victory celebration will not be carried out at least according to the preliminary plans.
However, in the case of Käärijä, we are talking about a quite extraordinary phenomenon:

Yle still responds to the fans’ demand to celebrate together in a different way:
– We will broadcast Käärijä’s ice rink gig next Saturday live on TV2 channel and in Areena, Klemettilä says.
– If someone organizes a victory party this week, Yle will definitely be involved in one way or another. But let’s hope that Saturday’s gig will help Käärijä’s anemia, Klemettila sums up.
