A passerby thinks it’s a bit nasty. The sinkhole at the intersection of Hendrik Staetslaan with Doctor Berlagelaan in Eindhoven. “Suppose someone had been driving when the road collapsed,” he said on Sunday morning. According to him, the gap has been there for at least two weeks and it is only getting bigger.
“I’m actually not allowed to pass, but this is the only way for me to get out of the street,” the man indicates. He goes to visit his girlfriend who lives down the street. According to him, the fact that nothing has yet been done about the hole is ‘crazy and also difficult’.
Another passerby also believes that something should be done about the pothole in the road quickly. According to her, the same applies to another sinkhole a little further away, in her street in Fakkellaan. That point has also been cordoned off, but according to her, nothing else has happened yet.
According to a local resident, the heavy rain recently is the culprit of the sinkholes. He also hopes that things will be resolved quickly.
