There has been another burglary at a catering business in Dijk en Waard. According to local police officers, all kinds of things have been looted at the snack bar ‘t Haventje in Broek op Langedijk. “They took away money, drinks, ice cream, croquettes and frikandels.” The region is plagued by a wave of burglaries in the catering industry, but it has been quiet in recent weeks.

The snack bar on Havenplein was broken into from Tuesday to Wednesday somewhere between 9 p.m. and 11 a.m. A rock was thrown through a side window to gain entry. “It doesn’t end!”, the police officers respond displeased. They are investigating the case and are hoping for tips and witnesses, media partner reports Regional city Central.

For a moment it seemed that the wave of burglaries in North Holland catering establishments had come to an end. Several suspects were arrested last month. Two reported themselves with an affected café owner in Sint Maartensvlotbrug. The others were delivered at the end of January caught in the act in Nieuwe Niedorp.
